This method has been perfected over many Friday afternoon staff drinks & pizza’s here at Aurora.
Step 1: Get a big fire going and allow the firebox to heat right up.
Step 2: Put your pizza stone (without the pizza) on the grate and allow it to heat for 20mins.
Step 3: When the fire is beginning to die down push the fire out to form a semicircle at the back of the firebox. There should still be flames in your fire, the pizza needs more than just hot coals to cook to crispy perfection.
Step 4: Place your pizza on the hot pizza stone in the centre of the your semicircle of fire. Don’t let the fire die out.
Step 5: Wait about 15 mins and enjoy piping hot wood fired pizza!
